Universal’s Volcano Bay is one of Orlando’s newest attractions, and many people have been heading to the park to see if it lives up to the hype. Central Florida residents are some of the people most likely to visit, and if you’ve lived in this area for a while, you already know the park is likely to be packed with visitors every day of the week. Here are some tips for the best ways to navigate the crowd and get the most out of the park, presented by the Core Group.

Plan To Arrive Early

Just like the other parks, Volcano Bay gets crowded as the day goes on, and this can lead to long waits and lines. To combat the problem of having long lines, Volcano Bay uses an electronic system that allows you to check in and come back at a later time. But the wristband based system only allows you to sign up for one ride at a time, leaving many people with not much to do in the interim. The best way to combat this problem is to arrive early when you can walk on to many of the other rides while you wait.

Pack Light

One of the areas where many visitors get hung up is renting a locker to stash towels, sunblock, and other valuables. In order to get around this problem, it’s advisable to take only necessary items with you and leave all of your valuables in a safe place instead of bringing them to the park with you. Put the items you do need in a small bag or backpack for easy transportation.

Connect Your Credit Card for Easy Purchases

The wristbands on each rider can be connected to a credit card, so you don’t have to whip out a wallet each time you want to get a drink or a snack. You can simply tap your wristband to make your purchases. In order to do this, simply visit guest services once you have your wristband.

Be Prepared for Growing Pains

Visiting a newly opened park means being ready for some issues to arise. Being patient and having an upbeat attitude is the best way to deal with the situation. If you aren’t ready to deal with the potential issues that may arise, it may be better to wait until the park has been open a little longer and everything is running smoothly to make your first visit.
