One thing we love about the Orlando area is how diverse it is! Nestled between beaches, we can find rolling hills, quaint downtowns, night life and gorgeous lakes! We’ll be spotlighting a few of our favorite neighborhoods in and out of the Orlando area. Today we start with Clermont, Winter Garden and Windermere!

Clermont

Clermont is a Central Florida City located in Lake County, just 22 miles west of Orlando. It is home to The Florida Citrus Tower, one of Florida’s oldest constructed landmarks, built in 1956. Clermont has experienced an economic growth of over 200% in the last 10 years, attracting real estate investors, families, and popular retailers to it’s serene landscape that features the Clermont Chain of Lakes and beautiful rolling hills, a unique characteristic in Florida.

Things to Love: Donut King, Clermont Landings, Troy’s Cuban Deli and The Florida Citrus Tower

Fun Fact: Clermont is a favorite destination for triathletes to train and compete. Sugarloaf Mountain is an infamous hill in the community that proves quite a challenge to scale!

Winter Garden

Winter Garden, Florida is located in Orange County, just 14 miles west of Downtown Orlando. Winter Garden sits on the border of Lake Apopka and has a gently rolling landscape. It is well known for it’s Historic Downtown, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places as well as the popular West Orange Trail, used by over a million people each year. Winter Garden has a business community comprised mostly of small businesses

Population: 40,000

Median Household Income: $59,175

Things to Love: Historic Downtown Winter Garden, Plant Street Market, West Orange Trail and Winter Garden Village at Fowler’s Grove

Fun Facts: Lake Apopka is the second largest lake in the state, stretching for miles in either direction. It once had some of the best bass fishing in the entire country, and was home to 29 fish camps on its 40 miles of shoreline.

Windermere

Windermere is a town in Orange County, Florida, located west of downtown Orlando and nestled between several lakes in the Butler Chain of Lakes. Windermere is a small town, but has a rich history. It has also been named one of Neighborhood Scout’s “Number One Top Choice Towns for Families with Children in the Sunshine State.”

Population: 3,173

Median Household Income: $118,739

Things to Love: Yellow Dog Eats, Dixie Cream Cafe, The Grove Orlando and Parramore House

Fun Facts: ‘N Sync member Joey Fatone, LPGA professional golfer Paula Creamer, Alter Bridge rocker Mark Tremonti and PGA Tour Professional Bubba Watson have all called Windermere home.
