A staple of the SODO (South of Downtown Orlando) area for more than 20 years, this humble bake shop offers a classic selection of breakfast baked goods, both sweet and savory. Send your taste buds on an adventure with an Apple Fritter or a Croissant Breakfast Sandwich, but get there early because the good stuff goes fast! Bakery Plus is located on East Michigan Street, just South of Downtown Orlando.

Blue Bird Bake Shop in Audubon Park Garden District knows good cupcakes… In fact, they’ve won awards for their incredible recipes. They bake their goods from scratch in small batches, made fresh daily. Open since 2010, they serve world-class, gourmet cupcakes as well as other sweet treats such as brownies, cookies, scones, and muffins. And if that wasn’t enough, in 2012, Blue Bird launched their own fair trade brand of Coffee, Top Hat. Find them on Corrine Drive in Orlando.

Charlie’s Bakery, located on Goldenrod Road in Orlando, is a humble neighborhood bakery that boasts an impressive sampling of gourmet pastries. Get your hands on fresh baked cupcakes, cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, strawberry shortcake, pies, canolis and more. They’ll also bake custom cakes for events, which means you can enjoy a personalized gourmet cake for any occasion. And make sure to keep an eye out for Charlie’s on the go, because they do operate a food truck as well!

De Azucar Bakery founder and owner Angie Lopez recalls all the wonderful smells of her childhood growing up in Puerto Rico. The art of gourmet pastry making played a major role in her life, and in January 2013, she opened De Azucar Bakery in Oviedo. The menu changes daily and features such sweet treats as pound cakes, nutella empanadas, cinnamon rolls, sweet buns, and gallettes. They also serve a variety of celebration cakes and specialty items. De Azucar also proudly offers catering services to bring the delicious confections to you.

Serving the Central Florida area 7 days a week and 365 days a year, DF Bakery in Winter Garden is a pastry power house. They opened their doors in 1996 as a wholesale bakery, but soon opened a retail store where patrons can visit during the week to enjoy a full lunch menu in addition to a wide variety of breads, breakfast pastries and cakes.
