Buying and Selling Real Estate During a Pandemic
In Florida, real estate is considered an essential business. Even during a pandemic, the show must (safely) go on!
In addition to working virtually to practice safe distancing, our team has stepped up the way they serve our clients during this crazy time, and they haven’t skipped a beat.
In the face of a pandemic, Realtor Shannon Webster has taken many homes under contract in just one or two days for her clients— many even receiving multiple offers! Going under contract so quickly has many benefits on its own, but during this health crisis, it also greatly reduces the number of prospective buyers that need to enter your home, cutting down on your risk to coronavirus and other unwelcome guests. With homes with multiple offers, Shannon took it a step further in finding out what type of financing the prospective buyer would have to evaluate if they would even be able to compete with the offers already on the table before allowing more traffic through the home.
Shannon is prepared before each listing visit with gloves and Lysol, in addition to making sure all lights are turned on and all closets are open so that the clients are able to get a great tour with minimal contact.
Realtor Anne-Marie sells is providing virtual walkthroughs and has a questionnaire for all clients assuring the safety of both parties.
Realtors Kendra Haywood and Kristin McLaughlin recently shared a thorough virtual walkthrough of their Oviedo townhome listing on social media— further reducing the amount of traffic needing to travel through the home.
This is an unprecedented time in our world. Real estate is still being listed and SOLD. Inventory is down 17% from 2018. We are still seeing multiple offers on some properties, and rates are at an all-time low!
